Dropshipping Blockchain Platform

Background
Dropshipping is a supply chain management method in which the retailer does not keep goods in stock but instead transfers the customer orders and shipment details to either the manufacturer, another retailer, or a wholesaler, who then ships the goods directly to the customer.
As in retail business, the majority of retailers make their profit on the difference between the wholesale and retail price, but some retailers earn an agreed percentage of the sales in commission, paid by the wholesaler to the retailer.
Since the product go through different parties, there is a huge issue in communication. Supplier are often not communicative and delay in processing order, often by over 10 days. There is often no inventory over 23%. Since manufacturers and wholesalers are often in China, language barrier is also an issue that leads to having the wrong item sent (or fake items) and products sent to the wrong address.

Our solution, which is Armada, is a platform that aims provide a token of information between the three parties of consumer, retailer, and wholesaler. Incorporating consumer facing QR check-in and review, dropshipper/small business web integration, as well as an IOT Track and Trace solution.

My Role
I led the front end design as the sole visual designer on our small team of five, which consisted of 4 developers and myself. I was responsible for interaction design, visual design, and compiling all visual assets whether for the product or for our presentation.
The project took place in Hong Kong with a 26 hour deadline.
